Hinge Pin
What Is a Hinge Pin?
A hinge pin is a cylindrical steel shaft that forms the rotation axis of door and window hinges. This small part, which connects the two leaves of the hinge to each other, carries the weight of the door and rotates hundreds of times with every opening and closing.
Why Is a Quality Pin Important?
Low-quality pins wear down and bend over time, causing the door to malfunction. The vast majority of squeaking, door sagging, and lock alignment problems stem from a worn hinge pin.
