Door Handle Spindle
What Is a Door Handle Spindle? Sizes, Types, and Applications A door handle spindle is a critical mechanical component that connects door handles to the door body and transmits the rotational movement of the handle to the lock mechanism. Also known in English as a “door handle spindle” or “door handle square bar,” this component may appear small, but it is extremely important for door security and functionality. How Does a Door Handle Spindle Work? A door handle spindle acts as a shaft that connects the door handles on both sides and rotates between them. When the handle is turned, the spindle rotates and moves the latch in the lock mechanism, allowing the door to open. For this reason, both dimensional accuracy and material strength are of great importance. Standard Sizes and Dimensions Door handle spindles are generally manufactured with a square cross-section. The most commonly used sizes are: 6×6 mm — For lightweight interior door handles 7×7 mm — For standard interior doors 8×8 mm — The most commonly used size; for residential and office doors 9×9 mm — For doors requiring heavy-duty use 10×10 mm — For industrial doors and security doors Length options generally range from 5 mm to 200 mm, and project-specific cutting options are also available. Material and Quality Standards Door handle spindles manufactured by Çeksan are made from cold-drawn steel. Thanks to this production method: Surface roughness is minimized Dimensional tolerances are maintained precisely Mechanical strength is increased Long-lasting use is ensured Who Uses Them? Door handle spindles are used by a broad customer base, particularly door and window hardware manufacturers, locksmith supply distributors, construction companies, and large-scale housing projects. Supply from Çeksan Manufacturing since 1984, Çeksan is one of Türkiye’s leading door handle spindle manufacturers. Products manufactured at its factory in Biga, Çanakkale, with 14,000 m² of enclosed space, are exported to more than 15 countries. Bent Window Handle Spindle
What Is a Bent Window Handle Spindle? A bent window handle spindle is a special window hardware component manufactured in a form bent at a specific angle, unlike a standard straight spindle. This L-shaped form is used particularly in window handle designs that require an angled mechanism. Why a Bent Form? Some window handle mechanisms have special constructions that require the handle to be positioned perpendicular to the axis. In such cases, using a straight spindle is not possible, making the bent form necessary. Technical Specifications Cold-drawn steel Bending angle according to customer requirements Available in standard square cross-section dimensions Precise bending tolerance Applications PVC window handle mechanisms Aluminium profile window systems Custom-designed window hardware Espagnolette locking systems Custom Manufacturing Bent window handle spindles are generally manufactured specifically for each project. You can place an order by submitting your technical drawing or an existing sample. Contact: ceksan@ceksan.com | +90 212 691 11 05

Knurled Handle Spindle
What Is a Knurled Handle Spindle? A knurled handle spindle is a special door/window handle spindle with a serrated surface along its length. These serrations mechanically lock the connection between the handle and the spindle, preventing the handle from sliding along the axis or rotating independently. Why Is a Knurled Spindle Preferred? With standard smooth-surface spindles, the handle may loosen inside the mechanism over time. The knurled surface eliminates this problem by providing a durable and secure connection. It is particularly preferred for doors and windows with a high frequency of use. Knurl Geometry Evenly spaced serrations around the circumference Different knurl pitch options Standard and custom-form production available Dimensions Knurled handle spindles are manufactured in standard square cross-section dimensions, ranging from 6×6 mm to 10×10 mm. Who Uses Them? Door handle manufacturers, particularly companies developing premium-segment products, prefer knurled handle spindles. They are also an important raw material for manufacturers of metal doors and security doors. Contact: ceksan@ceksan.com | +90 212 691 11 05

Slotted Handle Spindle
What Is a Slotted Handle Spindle? A slotted handle spindle is a specially formed door handle spindle with one or more longitudinal slots along the spindle body. These slots allow the handle to be secured to the spindle using a screw or pin. Difference from a Standard Handle Spindle In a standard smooth handle spindle, the handle is held in place only by friction. In the slotted version, a screw or pin enters the slot and creates a mechanical lock. This provides a much safer and more permanent connection. Technical Details Precision longitudinal slot Single or double slot option Available in standard square cross-section dimensions Slot depth and width according to requirements Applications High-security door handle systems Entrance doors of commercial and institutional buildings Industrial equipment doors Applications requiring special handle mechanisms Contact: ceksan@ceksan.com | +90 212 691 11 05

Window Handle Spindle with Tabs
What Is a Window Handle Spindle with a Pin? A window handle spindle with a pin is a specially formed window handle spindle that includes a fixed pin positioned perpendicular to the spindle body. This pin mechanically prevents the window handle from rotating or sliding on the spindle. Why Is a Pinned Version Preferred? With standard smooth window handle spindles, some handle designs may begin to loosen or move on the spindle over time. The pin completely eliminates this movement, providing a durable and reliable connection. Technical Specifications Fixed pin positioned perpendicular to the spindle body Compatible with standard square cross-section dimensions Pin position can be adjusted according to customer requirements Cold-drawn steel Applications Especially window systems with espagnolette mechanisms Commercial buildings with a high frequency of use All window applications where the handle must fit tightly Contact: ceksan@ceksan.com | +90 212 691 11 05

Hinge Pin
What Is a Hinge Pin? A hinge pin is a cylindrical steel shaft that forms the axis of rotation in door and window hinges. This small component connects the two leaves of the hinge, supports the weight of the door, and rotates hundreds of times during repeated opening and closing. Why Is a High-Quality Pin Important? Low-quality pins wear out and bend over time, preventing the door from operating properly. Most squeaking, door sagging, and lock alignment problems are caused by worn hinge pins. Technical Specifications Cross-section: Round Diameter: 4 mm — 16 mm Length: According to requirements Material: Cold-drawn steel Surface: Smooth, bright Size Selection Guide 4–6 mm — Lightweight furniture and window hinges 8–10 mm — Standard door hinges 12–16 mm — Heavy doors and industrial applications Two Types Available Çeksan’s product portfolio includes two different hinge pin forms: standard straight pins and end-machined pins with tapered or headed ends.
