Knurled Handle Spindle
What Is a Serrated Handle Spindle?
A serrated handle spindle is a specialized door/window handle shaft that has serrations (knurling) applied along its surface. These serrations mechanically lock the connection between the handle and the spindle, preventing the handle from sliding along the axis or rotating loosely.
Why Choose a Serrated Spindle?
On standard smooth-surfaced spindles, the handle can loosen within the mechanism over time. The serrated surface eliminates this problem, providing a long-lasting and secure connection. It is especially preferred for high-frequency-use doors and windows.
Sizes
Serrated handle spindles are produced in standard square cross-section sizes (from 6×6 to 10×10).
Who Uses It?
Door handle manufacturers, particularly companies developing premium-segment products, prefer serrated handle spindles. It is also an important raw material for metal door and security door manufacturers.
